Now you might think, where's the splash of blue at this time of year. Well, it won't be a hardy or a tropical waterlily, for sure...

Clyde Richmond does blue, with a ruffled panache...

Andy, do you have a best pond nursery in the world or the largest personal pond in the world!?!?!?!? I love love love all these flowers!!!! Awesome!

My iris isn't doing great in the pond - maybe its not a water loving iris? If I post a picture, do you think you could have a look and let me know your thoughts?

I think my water sucks for plants (but not fish), none of my plants are thriving, including the world's worst weed, water hyacinth. My GH is off the charts, I think its good for stopping PH swings, but not good for plants - just an uneducated guess.

That would be another thread for you to start, Pris, then everyone can ponder on it.

Yup, I just might have been collecting those aquatic plants which have the best combination of features a whiles

I was told I'd grow out of it. About fifty years ago

Shall have to pull socks up one day. Am not short of gardeners garters at this time of year!

Ahah, dawdling in the ponds today, Arc en Ciel is good to go!

Flowering size Arc en Ciel on its way, complete with intact feeder roots (no hack job chopping every root short) intact lilypads (packed so the stems don't snap)

Not likely to struggle with plant shock, it won't fall to bits the day after it is planted up...

What a superb, choice aquatic plant. It has all the features you could want and then some gaudy ones.

It has lived on its pot for ten years minding its own business, chugging striking variegated foliage and a bloom which, well, is distinctive.

And it pops at the time of the year when the weather is so darn poifect...
