Hello all! I was wondering...when does one put pond plants outside? I was planning to put the hornwort out in April, the hardy water lily out in May, and the water lettuce out in June. Thanks! (PS...I live in zone 5)

depends on temperature of water not the time of year or the month

It is above ground, so I would still need to pull the plants in every winter

Water temps should be near 60 degrees with most plants but remember that water temps .can change real fast with a cold rain .Most leave hornwort in their ponds all winter but that depends on the depth of the pond and how far down it freezes .Above ground pond water stays colder because of it being exposed to all types of wind chill factors
