I was very excited this morning to find literally thousands of small black tadpoles in the pond. My pond is just about a year old, so I think I missed the hatch last year when it was built. Not sure if they are toads, small frogs, or bullfrogs but we have all of those in the surrounding area. Cool!

And also have a bit of an algae bloom going, but I just read that tadpoles love to eat it so I guess it's all good!

We did not get any toad eggs this year, but it was darn cold off and on. Not sure where they may have gone. I saw a few pairs never saw the ribbon of eggs. Usually I watch them mating for days, see their eyes on the cams swimming and chasing each other .
