Trespasser ,,, What to do with him?

So this guy (or gal) was running through the grass, about 75' from the house ... hubby spotted him from the window and ran out the door to grab him (I have no idea how he saw it so far away LOL)... So now what to do with it? Hubby wants to keep him ... WHAT does it need, like, etc????

Awww... after doing a bit of research, decided to let her go ... hubby is putting her back where he found her, but hoping the dog doesnt find her:-( Will keep the dog in for awhile ...

When hubby put her back where he found her, it didnt take her long to head towards the log pile ... made some jokes about the comcast commericals, as she moved right along.

I had a turtle haunt me for years .My son wrote our telephone number on his back in permanent marker and people kept calling and saying they found our turtle

My advice was going to be to put it back where you found it, but see you've already done that If it's a lady turtle, she may be looking for some nice, soft dirt to lay her eggs.

That was our guess ... some quick research made HER look like a HER, and the conservation site gave info about June being the month they laid their eggs, and their behavior to seek open areas ... she was in the middle of our backyard, an area with a good 150' of treeless, sunny area ... all around our backyard is woodlands and wetland areas, so lots of food, so why else would she come out into the open like this? Hoping to find her "spot" so we dont mow it....
