Uv filter placement

Hi am fitting a uv filter and read somewhere that u have to fit the at least 2 metres away from the pond. This isn't possible for me, will it make a difference?

I seriously doubt that the location would make any difference.

You can put it anywhere

I think they say that because they do not want it to get wet by falling in the pond .Mine has a warning similar to what you are saying .

You can put it anywhere but you must keep the water flow slow enough that the UV light has time to do it's work. Slow does not mean slow though so don't worry about it too much.
