I have some v. Amazonica seeds on order. I'm very excited about this plant.

Anyone else have it or have any experience.

These are the ones that can reach 6' in length for one leaf, but most average about 2ft.

I tried Vic's twice, each turned to mush when cool weather swung in and hung around.

Seems they need temps steady over 80°f to get them going

For the 'giant' lily effect I switched to trying the Gorgon plant, and found them quite reliable in a volatile climate which can swing 50°f-100°f early Summer

I tried to get some seeds, but never did. Good luck on growing it!

I've heard accounts of these plants being grown in half barrels. They still flower and everything, but are a smaller plant in all.

This is my plan. To grow it smaller and then move it into the garage with the other plants during the winter. I mainly like the look of the plant itself and not really interested in size.

It is a neat plant, let us know how it does for you. I tried to get seeds a year back or so, was not able to find them. Post some pictures as it grows, maybe even start it over winter in the house if you can

It will be started int he house along with my other lily seeds to be planted in the spring.

We get snow here in April some years, so it needs to be inside a while. Though it never gets colder than 10*F here and never in the negatives, so it is pretty much the ideal pond climate!
