Wakodahatchee Wetland

We took a break from our busy schedule and visited the Wakodahatchee Wetland.
Full of photo ops, beautiful sunny 81 degree day.

Here are a few snaps of what we saw

Roseate Spoonbill, iguana, snapping turtle, alligators, osprey, actually caught a shot of the osprey hauling a fish away

This is fantastic addy! Ospreys are one of my favorite birds of prey. They look so cool and fun to watch catch fish.

Also cool seeing all those southern animals. Its like a whole different world.

I believe that turtle is a softshell turtle. I've always wanted to see one of those but they are so hard to find around here.

We had a great time, in the spring/summer that place is full of nests and babies. We saw 4 alligators, big suckers lol.

I think it's awesome that almost every shot is some type of fisherman/woman. Hehe They are beautiful when they aren't in the pond aren't they.

They are, love watching them fly, groom, posture if another comes close. So much activity. These two love my pond, well used to until we did the wide weave net. Now they go to easier feeding grounds.

What is so neat this is a reclaimed water. Millions of gallons a day are recycled. The land was donated only if it was used for wetlands.

Good deal and the critters sure are glad and they moved right in. Wonder if they transplanted animals there when they first built it?
