She looks like she's been around awhile and beaten up a bit.

This were taken last year. She first appeared last June. The 2 turtles we keep as pets. Due to a limited budget we won't be building them a habitat outside. Yet

Oh I love a happy ending! Poor mama did look a bit on the wracked up side. Glad she found a safe place to have her babies. What kind of turtle are they?

They are Midland Painted Turtles. The 2 babies are male. Today the one's shell is 5" the other is 3 1/2". Both hatched in late September and their shells where about 3/4" then. We named Leo and Mikey for more the 1 reason lol

Do they go outside in the summer at all? So guess someday they will be getting a pond of their own when you get ambitious!

really cool, around here I would be most likely to get a snapping turtle, which I would probably opt to release into the wild for obvious reasons :) good luck on the future habitat outside!

This will be the turtles first summer. We will likely let them loose in the pond if the goldfish will behave. But only for short periods. The backyard isn't turtle proof (yet). We have been looking at different ways to landscape the backyard and make a habit for the turtles. But this is our first house and it's in need of quite a bit of renos.

We have snappers here too Nathan. I wouldn't keep them either.

What is that a picture of in your avatar? Looks like legs and feet laying or hanging down but can't figure out what's around them

It is my legs and feet. It's picture of me lazing in my hammock in the backyard. Of course you can't hear the waterfalls or the birds.
