What is this plant?

I lost the tag to this water plant and am wondering what it is ? I was also wondering what these white growths are on its stems?

I have had it out of the pond and in a bucket of water for a few weeks but want to make sure it's okay to reintroduce into the pond. I do have koi and comets and didn't want to take a chance of giving them an illness or something else.

Hmmm... The flower has the look of a Lilly or Hibiscus

That is the pink flowered form of Ruellia simplex, also known as R. brittoniana. I grow the blue-violet form as a terrestrial plant. Good to know it can also be grown as an aquatic.
