Hi im new to pond and stuff i was just wondering what exactly is a bio filter and what do you need to make one.thanks

look in the DIYsection for build instructions..a bio filter is a contained enviroment in which bacteria grows and colonizes surfaces. these bacteria break down fish waste and other organics...organic and fecal waste are broken down first into ammonias then nitrites then to nitrates by these bacterial strains...that nitrate as a final product feeds the ponds vegetation.
