Angel, can I see more pictures of your bog? I'm currently putting in a second one to feed the waterfall. How is the water emptying back to the pond? Also is the frame to brace the container or for decoration? Plumbing, setup and anything you can share would be appreciatedMy bog plants are off color compared to the same plants in the pond. Any help would be great

Thanks, that's some intricate plumbing you have there.water comes in near the bottom in the back the there are 2 pipes on the front one little higher then the main exit for over flow/clogging and to blow out the pipe. the frame around it is to help insulate in winter, and i add a by pass pipe to by pass the stream.

I think most are using the regular Jobe plant spikes, no?I added fine steel wool at the roots for the bog plants looking for aquatic fertilizer atm. not to concerned about algea blooms as it will settle back out and feed the fish.

I've used all kinds of stuff - Jobe for house plants, Jobe for hanging baskets, Jobe for tomatoes, and special
aquatic tablets and pellets. The only one I didn't like was the pellets - total pain to get into the plant. Great if you are potting up fresh to mix with the soil, but otherwise I would avoid those. Oh and I do use Osmocote in my water lilies when I repot them, which is also pelleted and easy to mix with the kitty litter. But honestly fertilizer is fertilizer and plants are plants.
