Good idea. Lumber is so ungodly expensive right now.

It's funny, I have a bunch of pallets laying around right now. They're in my way and I have no immediate use for them, so I'm just giving them away for free to neighbors. No one wants them!

you're assuming CW is going to HAVE one of those...in our lifetime!!!!;)

Haha, no truer words been written or whatever you want to call it.

@combatwombat Supposedly lumber going to be coming back down in price soon. Not to pre covid levels but at least more reasonable.

Hardy har har.

@Jhn: I need lumber prices to stay sky high until the pond is done so that I don't get distracted building something else. I saw that timber futures were way down, but that doesn't always correlate to prices at the local lumber yard.

Just saw this post. People always surprise me. VERY CLEVER! Nice job. Do you live in a cold zone? How do you overwinter?

It's been a year and the stock tank has evolved. Getting through winter was tough with the above ground setup but everyone survived. I am seriously considering putting a greenhouse dome over it before winter and providing some heat as needed.
