Any idea as to what these are?

I just moved into a house with a small fish pond and a small fountain. My question is regarding the fountain. I've been noticing these white specks moving around for a couple weeks. Any ideas what they are?

Weird looking. Can you describe where this picture was taken? Is it in you filter or in the pond. How big are the tubes that are showing?

This is in the fountain. I'll attach a picture of it. They are really tiny, I'd say about the size of a pencil point. They move around and swim. Admittedly, I know absolutely nothing about water features. There had been tadpoles in the fountain, but I haven't seen any in a while. I'm scared they are some sort of parasite.
