Any ponders on instagram?

Its actually a lot easier to fix as far as I see it .We have ratings on Movies and cigarettes and alcohol. es there are parental controls but they are seriously flawed. with a simple change of a word in a search and wala porn . I don't know how many times I have put in the Latin name for a flower or similar and have the next photo come up as a woman with here legs spread and showing her flower. We have .com .net .edu if we had started .com labels for are kids only and only content for kids the wealth of info for them would be abundant and you never know if might actually be safe. STOP trying to police all of the internet that will never happen but what about policing just a .com domain say like .kids

My family talked me into signing up on FB but I got bored very fast..nothing but people posting quotes about things they themselves do not even live. I don't get the befriending people you don't even understand or intend to ever talk to, just to watch the number of friends grow, ridiculous!
So FB was a short lived experience for me, and I just assumed all the other social media to be pretty much the same so I never even looked into it.

I love technology and the Internet but, I miss the old days when you could be online and still keep your identity private, not like now that you can't even go on google to do a search and your mailbox gets spammed with solicitations

I could try but my youngest is 22 so he'll just lol at the old man and break out his second smart phone.

I know what you mean, I tried to be strict and impose the no pc rule on my kids to keep them away from social media for as long as I could have, little did I know that they could go online on their XBox

What most of us dinosaurs don't realize is how just a handful of people with some determination can impose ideas we find beyond comprehension. OK I just deleted my text this is getting to where I flip over where this country IS.

Exactly. If you don't want politics, don't follow anyone political. If someone starts posting pictures of what they ate for dinner last night, I unfollow. I don't even read most of the comments - just enjoy the photos and seeing how others see the world.
