A nexus would be a good choice , we are looking into one ourselves gowever from what I;ve been told bout them it would require us changing our feed to the Tetra koi exellance range which has been formulated to produces next to no fish waste unlike other brands it creates extra work otherwise
Sadly I dont know the name of it over in the US but it may well go under the same name

I saw something like what you are talking about on tv .I am not sure but could have been hgtv or diy network and may be on the puter sight .I can't see why it wouldn't work .If you have a problem with humidity you could always add a dehumidifier for the room .At least you could control everything going on with the pond and enjoy it year round .Like a big fish tank .I have seen several indoor salt water swimming pools and they don't seem to have problems .
