cattail, iris, or what?

what is this?....i ve had it for a couple years now, dont know what it is..going to repot it this fall..its still in a small bucket.

its never really done much, probably due to its small container. and ive cut it down each fall, maybe a bit early. my thinking is a dwarf cattail of sorts.

Sweetflag. Only about a foot or two tall fight? Break a leaf and it should smell sweet.

closer to 3' tall... its the european variety

Sweet flag (Acorus calamus). Can grow to 3' or so. John
