Concrete House on a Pond?

Tim, no wooden construction here. All we have is concrete. Plus, this is not gonna be a small house. A floating one won't work. About that hi-tech material, we don't have it here. Thanks for the long explanation.

Jordan i heard nothing but bad things about bentonite. I am a member of Farm Pond forums. People keep complaining about bentonite leaking. I can't risk leakage. Clay won't be 100% water proof too.

Here EPDM is used even for huge water reservoirs. EPDM is the most durable, most reliable(for holding water) and the cheapest material, to my experience so far.

But i know, my situation looks little desperate.

When applies correctly Bentonite will hold water as well as the best natural body of water. Most people either forget or don't bother to use the correct amount and to till it in.

Querorz, you started this project a number of years ago. What have you learned so far?
Bentonite works perfectly well when used correctly.
This project seems more like something based on dreams and speculation rather than reality.
