You, most likely, will need to net it to protect the inhabitants from mr heron. I keep a net on our pond year round because of that pretty bird, and my pond is deep, with only one 2.5 ft deep ledge.

Thanxs everyone for the input. I am going to take all into account and see if I can come up with a solution. As I start this project I will do a Build thread.
