Now why didn't I think of that?

And mrsclem, thank you--that's exactly what I need. I'm going tomorrow to look for it because my problem right now won't be solved with chicken wire. Now some 4 legged varmint is digging up the catfish I buried by the pond last week. I have no idea what kind of critter did it, but that's one heavy fish to be moving.

A friend of mine knows someone that lost all his fish to a crafty raccoon last year. He bit a hole in one of the tubes coming out from the pump, waited until almost all of the water leaked out and scooped up the fish!

I have had a lot of raccoon problems in the past. I now have a Dr.Dave's style fence over my pond. I used plastic coated 2" chain link steel fencing with .5" chicken wire on top of it. I know the raccoons still come to the pond but the fish just smile at them. RDK
