Driftwood in ponds

The first picture is how i started it..the reason its isnt al flat is because i want it to sit flat on the side of my pond and extend down into the water

Looks like a great start. There is a guy who does fake rocks using foam and tinted cement. He has some Youtube videos on how to do it if you are interested.

Thanks DrDave, i have seen alot of people using foam and cement to do aquarium backgrounds and ive been all over the internet doing research..i think im going to cover this in fiberglass and then pull all of the foam out and fill it with sand or cement

I collect a lot of driftwood that i find by the river after it floods is the best time. I have most of them in the landscaping around the pond but a few of them are actually half in the pond and half out. They do get very waterlogged but are neat as the algae and stuff grows on them. My frogs like them to as they use them to climb out of the water and sit in the sun.

I have drifted would as I do not live to far from Smith Mountain Lake and Philpot dam and Fairy Stone park
