I will help the bulging and expansion stress ome for sure, anouther benefit that would also do is insulate it making it run a little cooler in the summer and and retaining heat in the early winter.

I was initially going to use the Home Depot trash can and decided against it. Buddy of mine suggested I google "container supply". I found reconditioned 55 and 30 gallons drums right here in town!

You'll be gald you decided to go that route, They are easier to work with, and I promise will hold up much longer.

Check Craigslist too. Usually about 20-30 for a food grade barrel that has less of a chance of leaching anything. Some will even remove the top for you or have removable lids. Keep the top ring on so it keeps support. That way it will not become oblong or warp.
