Wats best fish food to get for little fish as I'm just starting out been looking at tetra mixfood

Well Craig ish, I am wondering what type of fish you have and your local temperatures. It is getting late in the season so unless you are living in a really warm area of the UK such as Jersey, now is the time to begin winter preparation. There are many posts about winter preparation on this site and you might want to key word them. Are you in a warm area? If so, there are all sorts of food choices but none of them are good in very cold weather.

I'm in middlesbrough UK gold fish and couple of orfes won't be till next year April time

Hi Craig, I'm also UK, in Lancs, and new to owning a pond this year.
I have goldfish and a few Koi which have done really well on tetra variety sticks over the summer. Now just thinking about starting to feed wheatgerm

Just got to backfill it with sand I think not sure if that's best and how much

Finished painting inside of pond frame just got a few boards to put on inside fror sand to sit up against when I get it to fill in

HI Craig ish, I did reply about backfilling with sand but it obviously didn't post.
My pond isn't preformed and we had to renovate an existing pond so cant advise on backfill. I suggested you post asking for advice. People on here are very helpful
