Thanks to those of you who responded to my post. After going to the link Charles gave me, I decided to purchase the Jebao Skimmer SK-30. It's less expensive than the OASE, and the fact that it produces less water movement might be a good thing since I don't want a pump stirring up the debris on the bottom of my pond. I will post my thoughts on this skimmer once I get it and use it for a week or so.
I have this skimmer. It keeps popping out of water. So I took stainless steel nuts n secured under the basket. It has helped greatly. But I never run it without being out side so I can hear it if it popped up. It's been windy today n that seems to effect it popping up more.
Does a good job but the pump sucks the water out of the faster than what's going in then it pop's up. Not sure on that other than the depth it sitting in. You do have to empty basket often depends on how much debris you have. We have had a lot today due to wind. Emptied 2x already. I think that's another issue if basket gets so full It stops flow of water n that may be why it's popping up. I've only had it a month so its test n tube now

I would suggest building in a helix skimmer but within the pond place some weight in the bottom and hold it down. the helix ha a floating weir i never had an issue with it it can allow for about 6 inches of water drop before you have an issue. it could be installed out of the pond as well and not take up valuable space in the pond
