Hello. Does anyone know what animal makes gray piles of "dust" on the pebbles and how to get rid of this problem.

Welcome to the forum!

No clue on the dust, something digging or building under the gravel I would think.

and welcome @constantin
I'm sure there could be some kind of little digging creatures that might make mounds like that. Is that the bottom of your pond or an aquarium? Is it freshwater or salt? Can't think of what the name of those creatures are that live in a tube like home they carry around on them or if they like living under the sand.

Could this be a build up of mulm? That's what mine looks like although it is more evenly distributed over the bottom.

If that is your bog and thats on the top , then it would be mulm and that is the waste that has been broken down and made it through the gravel. in short it is a sign of a health filter, but it not a threat to the pond. Basicly its where WATER HAD A PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE UNTIL IT STARTED TO CLOG AND MOVED TO THE NEXT SPOT.
