We don't get Halloweeners they don't want to walk up a 300 ft long driveway uphill .We never got many in NJ either because we lived on a privately owned road

We don't get anyone on this road. Even the subdivision that both my aunt and my grandma lives in hardly gets any kids compared to when I was a kid. It used to be a lot of fun, the streets would be filled with kids, and nearly every house would participate. Unfortunately, things have changed. All the good candy can be so expensive now that houses started putting out the cheap stuff, and kids don't want to go out for the cheap stuff because it usually isn't worth the time.

back in NJ when my youngest son started school I started the school trick or treat thing .Parents would donate candy to each classroom and after school the children would come back to school and trick or treat from classroom to classroom and then enjoy cupcakes and juice boxes with a story .

Had around 130 kids - even with the drizzling rain.

We live on a dead end rural road w/no kids and it was pouring down rain so not a very good treat night for the kiddo's. We never get kids. Used to get our neighbors boy but he's 14 now and doesn't go.
Sounds like the beginning of a slasher flic.
