I also watch Being Human (I like it so don't say it's stupid......to each's own again) and I watch both the U.S version and the BBC one and I prefer the BBC version on this one too.
I watched the whole Aussie t.v show from way back in the 70's or 80's on utube called Prisoner Cell Block H and loved it. I wish I could watch the old 60's version of Dark Shadow's but can't find it anywhere........only the new version (not as good).

Ha Ha haven't a clue and they did the same w/ CSI.........Miami, New York and Las Vegas. I got tired of CSI Las Vegas after they got rid of Gil and Sara etc. and never even watched the other two. Now we are into watching The Killing, The Event, V, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and various others when their seasons starts. Too much watching t.v I know but hey there's nothing else to do in the evening especially when it rains so much

jw, of course not everyone watched the royal wedding, but the point I was making is that it was very popular here. There was an endless stream of 20/20 and dateline shows beforehand detailing the smallest detail of the wedding and of course the whole thing was on live tv and we actually had friends wake up at 3:00 AM to watch it. The British shows our house prefers are the american versions of the office and shameless.

Yep it was definitely popular, just saying I don't like that sort of stuff...........guess lots of women do tho............guess I'm out of the ordinary on that one. Never watched the office or Shameless. My hubby said he watched The Office and thought it was stupid. We differ on some of the shows we like and dislike tho

oh wow! the office and shameless are 2 of my favourites and im amazed they did us versions because the brit versions are classics ,i dont know how they would convert to US actors and sense of humour, very different to ours over here, i know Ricky Gervais is quite popular over there but shameless is about a Manchester council estate! i will try and find a link cos im intrigued now:lol:
ps the wedding was the perfect excuse for working on the pond and a game of golf!

wow jw, cell block H !! thats just braught back childhood memories, my mother used to watch it all the time, i dont watch much tv myself, much prefer music, tho if i do watch tv i prefer to watch the national geographic channels or discovery chanels, wildlife documenterys or air crash investigation etc, tho i do like good british crime/forensics drama's eg, spooks, waking the dead, and wire in the blood, as for comedy i do not like ricky gervais, he is too arrogant, but however i did like "an idiot abroad" ,
and as for american tv, i absolutly loved ugly betty, i have them all on dvd box sets !!

Stevo, The American version of shameless is excellent and stars William H Macy who is a fantastic actor. Also it is shot in Chicago which makes it all the better. Koi guy I agree about Dexter. To me I think it is by far and away the best show on TV. Other favorite shows are Weeds and Nurse Jackie. The office is quite different than the British version, but is a really good show and is in its 7th season. The lead actor Steve Carell just left and was replaced by Will Ferrell.
