Hello everyone, I just bought a waterfall box and skimmer because it was a super deal but how do I determine how big of a pond to build using these?? Here are the dimensions for both--

Skimmer - 20.5 inches wide, 16 inches depth, 31 inches height

Biofalls - 29.5 inches wide in front, 40 inches side back, 34 inches depth, 29.5 inches hieght

Waterfall lip is 22.5 inches wide.

I had no idea how big it was until I went to pick them up..I was so happy, got pond lights too..all for 100.00. Any and all help appreciated. Amber

Skimmer is designed for about a 2000-3000gph pump, The filter falls is designed for a pond more in the 4000-5000 gallon range. If I were going to build a pond using those as the skimmer and filter for a pond I would be shooting for a 2500-4000 gallon pond and probably add a second pump for some additional filtering and or circulation. Of course the pond could be increased some in size and with additional fitration could probably get away with even a 5000-6000 gallon pond. Great deal for the money!

skimmer is basically the same size as mine only not quite as deep, Mine is rated for 3500gph but it runs far better at about 2800gph, any larger pomp and justa few leaves and the pump starts starving for water. My atlantic Filter falls is for a 4000-4500 gallon pond My filter falls is ATLANTIC FILTER FALLS BF1250
Waterfall Width: 17" spillway
Dimensions: 19"W x 22.5"D x 14"H
Pump Flow Range: 2000-3000 GPH

So looking at your measurements I'm putting it a little higher than mine by size and recommendations.
