Help :(

Hi everyone i noticed my koi has 2 pink spots on his cheeks, i'm about to leave the country within a week for a whole week, and i can't leave with out doing my best to help my baby out. i being looking for pics online, but i have not seen what mine has. I would really appreciate your guys help. I just took the picture minutes ago so this is a recent picture. I'm about to change the water tomorrow don't know if i do a 50/50 or a whole water change, or to keep him alone in a fish tank with medicinal water : :sad:

I can't tell from the pictures clearly but I can't help but wonder if that is a male that is showing extremely strong the breeding stars on their gill covers called operculum. This link may help explain better. http://thegab.org/Goldfish/sexing-goldfish.html
Problem is they usually don't stand out as well on Koi as Goldfish. Is there any chance the fish is a hybrid goldfish/Koi. This would easily explain and also be a relief as this is a natural process. If the skin tissue looks to be peeling or flaking then it could be a infection.
