How often do you swap out your air pump diaphragm?

I know your probably supposed to swap out the diaphragm every year or two, but wondering what you guys do.

I believe i just now have encountered this need. I have an Easy Pro EPW2 that just stopped working and I think it's because I need to replace the diaphragm. Installed in 2011.
