Koi with mouth injury

Hi one of our koi has an injured mouth. Difficult to eat and looks like it might be getting infected (redness). Any suggestions how to help?

Gosh that doesn't look good at all. Looks like it got it's mouth hooked on something and ripped it apart. Not sure what you can do yourself. Looks like a job for a fish doctor but I really would not know,just guessing. Hope someone will have some good advice for you. Have you checked in at Koiphen.com as they are very good w/koi problems.

We’ve had a heron take bites of others despite the netting, that is my suspicion. I haven’t checked with koiphen, but will thank you.
