I loved his calm demeanor and depth of experience. He will be missed around here for sure.
Oh no ! I had no idea and was just going to tag him in the thread by the new poster, to see if he could lend his expertise.
I remember him hinting at some health problem, heart I believe. So very sad, he'll be very missed. Between him and Dave, not posting, we've lost a wealth of knowledge. Rest sweetly @Meyer Jordan .
He will be missed!
Very sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed reading Meyer's posts and the articles he posted as well. His wealth of information/knowledge and no nonsense yet calm way of posting his knowledge to help others will be missed. Rest in peace......
So sorry to hear this
RIP, Meyer! You will be missed by many!
I haven’t been around in a while (and thank you to @bettasngoldfish for letting me know), but was he still active and posting? Was there anything on GPF to indicate he might have been ill? So sad!!
Meyer was actively posting and participating - his last post was on 12/29 I think. And no, other than some comments he made in the past about health challenges forcing some changes to his activity level there was no sign he was ill.
What a shock to hear. A true professional. Rest In Peace Meyer. Your words and knowledge here did not go unnoticed for sure. You will be missed
Very sad news. Our condolences to Jordan’s family and friends. May he Rest In Peace.
Very sad news . Thank you for letting us know @adavisus.
RIP Meyer Jordan.
I spoke to him a little while ago and he created a digital archive of a lot of his work and research - he stored it securely online and shared the details with me, as he knew that he was in ill health. The aim being that I can convert and upload this work to the GPF resources section, so that his knowledge and information collated over the years can be retained.
Yes, he will be missed. As a sort of new member, I was honored when he replied to a thread I started. I will wait for the postings in the resource section to learn more from him.
OMG I just saw this.. I'm sad. RIP.
Isn't that great ! What a sweet guy , even his parting shots were in his style : thoughtful ,helpful , meaningful .
I'm so deeply saddened and shocked. I guess I took it for granted that we will all still be here. its so sad and he left a big hole now in this forum, and I will really miss him a lot as I respected him and was in awe of all his knowledge and hard work on this forum. Rest in Peace in Heaven with a big beautiful pond up there that needs your attention my friend!
What a selfless act that will benefit many.
That’s incredible! What a legacy to leave for the benefit of many who will never even have the opportunity to meet or know him.
