I spent Saturday at the Milwaukee Air & Water Show. It was a pretty good day weather-wise. It was a hazy day, so I had to do some work removing/lessening the grain from my photos as well as improving color and clarity.
First up, I checked off another lighthouse. The Milwaukee Breakwater Lighthouse. I think this is the tenth Lake Michigan lighthouse I've seen. It was pretty far away, so you can really see that heat haze effect.
Here are some of my favorite photos, and if you'd like, you can watch my full video slideshow at the bottom of this post.
Matt Chapman in his final year as an airshow performer.
Bill Stein, Matt Chapman, and Jack Knutson
KC Flight Team
John Klatt's Jet Waco. This was actually one of the coolest performances I've seen. It's bizarre hearing a bi-plane sound like a fighter jet.
MH-60 Jayhawk
F-35A. This is the first year that the F-35 has done full demonstrations, though I also got to see it fly two years ago at Airventure.
Heritage Flight. F-22 (left), P-51 (top), F-35 (right), A-10 (bottom).
F-35 and F-22
A-10
P-51
F-22
C-17
USAF Thunderbirds. Look closely and you'll notice that #2 and #3 are two-seaters.
