Here's some pictures of the pond so far. After digging it all out by hand with one shovel I needed to take a couple weeks off. I added soem ideas from capewind and larkin and think thins are coming along. I especially like the pseudo bog (capewinds idea). We made it pretty big and have one of the waterfalls draining on to it.

We still have so much to do so I'm always open to critisism and ideas!

That's a nice pond! All dug out by hand?! Also like the lotuses... was told we can't really keep it in my region, not humid enough.

Yep, all by hand. The deep area of the pond is 14' x 16' and 4' deep. It was all clay which is why I needed a couple of weeks off, lol. The faux bog/planter is 12' x 8' and 1' deep.

Not sure if the lotus will over winter but I'm going to give it a try.

That is very nice, great looking pond. The lotus should make it, if it is a hardy and deep enough the tuber does not freeze.

Look at the pictures, it looks like there is some liner deep enough for water retention with rocks separating it from the main pond. Almost like a barrier bog.
