Hi all,

While we are trying to get the landscape guy back out to correct the leak from my bog, we have been turning off the pump each evening and back on in the morning, to prevent the possibility of accidently pumping the pond dry. (Guess how I know.)

Anyway, we've got a ton of mosquitoes out near the pond, and I have been worrying that the pesky buggers are breeding over night while the pond is still.

I put 6 trapdoor snails in the pond last week (who all promptly disappeared...who knew they could move so fast?). Before I put a mosquito dunk into the pond, I wanted to make sure that it would be safe for the snails.

I am allergic to those monsters...a single bite will bother me for 2-3 weeks.

I use frogs, dragon flies, and mosquito fish to help control those biters. So far it has been working.
