Ms 8000 pump Flow reducer

Very new to the pond world. Installing an anjon ms 8000 pump and need to get a flow reducer. The two options I have seen listed are not rated for the 8000 pump. Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution to this issue. I really appreciate any tips or suggestions.

I don't know anything about flow reducers and I don't know if restricting the flow can have a bad effect on your pump.

Instead of restricting the flow of your pump, I would add a wye and divert the water two ways. Add a ball valve to each and you can customize how much goes where.

There's no harm restricting the flow on the output side of a pump. Most are designed to operate properly within a pretty large range of dynamic head. If you think about it, every inch of pipe and fitting is restricting flow.

My biggest concern with restricting flow would be that the pump is too big. If it's not too late, I'd return it and get a less powerful one. Get the flow you want for less energy cost.
