I have the Lotus in the garage until May as I mentioned in a previous post. I have about 1.5" of water in the pot until I bring the container out in May when PA weather get warmer. I am beginning to get multiple arial leaves that are about 2" above the water. Should I begin to fertilize now or should I still wait a bit. Thanks to everyone for answering my silly questions! :)
So exciting watching them get started. If it was me, I'd move them into the sun and feed them. Sounds like they're ready to play!

My concern is the current PA weather. It was 32 degrees yesterday morning! 😬
me? I'd put them out. if they get nipped by cold they'll sprout again when it warms up. but that's just me. wait and see what the real experts think...

If you are still getting freezing weather I would hold off on fertilizer. Ok to put the pot outside and lea e it out. Moving it back inside could slow down growth.

I know at the fish farm in north Carolina they have had them in big pots for years now and they have gotten huge . They even lived through the hurricane they had there that destroyed the hoop house the had a couple of years ago . Some of the pots cracked because of the hoop house poles being blown into them . But they still have not replaced the cracked pots , they just used gorrilla tape to fix them . Been 8 years and the pots are still taped and the lotus are still being harvested for roots to be sold . Funny but hoop houses are still not put back they just cleared them away . I have been tempted to get one , but these plants are huge . My lilies are getting bigger but at least not as tall as lotus can get
