Hi Gaing,
I stumbled across this forum doing hours and hours of reseach on ponds.
I live in Buffalo N.Y. with my lovely wife Rhonda and 2 children Josh and Christina. I'm a competive cyclist, Mtn bikes actually, my wife says it's my mid life crissis going on.
I raised 6 gold fish in a wiskey barrel before moving them into a Home Depot plastic hole in the ground. They became our babies and we would keep them in our house during the winter months (aquarium).
One day last year while on a family vacation our neighbor who was watching our animals found them floating (dead) in our aquarium. To say the least we were devistated. We had raised them since they were tiny feeder fish from Wally World.
Any way, I've always wanted something bigger and a little more self sufficiant, so this year I/we oppted to build a pond. Like everything I do, I become eccentric over it and something that started out being a 600 gallons turned quickly into a 1200 gallons, still small be many standards.
Glad to be part of this forum
David
