Mr T and Papa Bear spent the morning pouring the footer. Thankfully it was overcast and the work progressed quickly.

I'm impressed , may I ask if your going to indstall a 4" bottom drain , it would save you lots of hassle later on and basically become a self cleaning pond .
However is that a boulder sticking out of your side wall , if it is will you be removing it ?

Dave, yes, we'll have two bottom drains - gravity fed.
the 'boulder' was a surprise - turns out it's a lump of concrete - the kids carefully dug around it - but when I saw it we had to 'shorten' the pond on that side - cannot have a lump of concrete sticking out in the wall :(

Get them in water, the first leafs float, can't tell if they are dry or in water
