i have a freind whos had his 20 mil pvc pond for 10 years+ no issues yet! i have 20 mil in my basement pond dont expect i'll ever have a problem, due to no sun exposure, so no U.V exposure.

I have ppl in the big pond and bog, epdm in the deck ponds, after x amount of time you really can't see the rough of the ppl or the smooth of the epdm. But I sure love the ease of walking on the ppl and its toughness.

Shalom, I bought a line in 2004(?) - it is thin and may be the PPL, as it looks a bit like burlap, has a fine texture, a bit stiff, but is suppose to be extremely strong, and puncture resistant and as I don't remember it's name, all I can say is so far so good, even with some flat rocks off the top of the sides fallling into the pons.
