question on sterilizer equip....

I am running a 57 watt aqua uv sterilizer in the summer and have a question on the ballast tansformer part of it . seems condensation gets inside of the ballust and burnt out the unit , I need to get a new ballust , any idias on how to better protect this part of the unit. I do bring in house for winter

Cant understand how thats happening ballasts are normally filled with resin so this shouldnt happen .
Are you running an aquarium sterilizer outside , is the resin defective is water going down your leads to the ballast if this is the case I'd take it back to the place you bought it from?
I said aquarium sterilizer as normally everyone runs clarifiers
