We have started building quite a large above ground pond in our garden. We have had normal ponds before in other gardens so are quite used to maintenance etc and caring for fish. However we are not sure whether in a raised pond (timber construction with liner) we plant pond plants in the normal way? Any one here got a raised pond?

Hello Lena and welcome! I have 2 raised pond. I have lilies in pots in the one pond as it is 2-4 feet in depth. I use a bog as well as other filters. The other pond is over 5' deep so planting doesn't work.
How large a pond are you planning and what materials will you use?

I have a raised pretend pond, it was a hot tub. But with all the seats in it, there are plenty of places to put plants. It is about 2.5 feet deep at the deepest spot
