Shubunkins

My Subunkins are chasing my comets like crazy, only at nite and maybe once during the day, they have been together for over a month!!

Sounds like spawning behavior.

I don't think so as there is no foaming water, etc.

Lots of chasing happens pre-spawning. And honestly I've never seen the characteristic foaming with my goldfish that we used to see with our koi. We could smell it when the koi spawned. Not so with goldfish.

Also remember that shubunkin=goldfish. Same fish; different colors.

I never get foam/bubbles, either, but you can smell it.
