I remember years ago I found, on this site, a supplier for a good pond net. I bought it and now I cannot figure out where it came from. Maybe this was "Addy's Net supplier"? It was a place several of you had gone for nets (not a pond specific place).

What I need is a nice 2" or so spaced net which I suspend above the pond to keep herons at bay. Mine is now falling apart from sun damage.

I looked and did not find a "sticky" post. Maybe one can be made?

Thanks in advance!

I use the 4 inch weave. Started out with a tight weave, birds etc got caught in it.

Now it hangs around 2 to 3 feet over the water.

I used to put up a tight weave before fall (catch leaves) and then switch to loose weave for winter and spring (not catch snow and discourage herons). I've gotten a little lazier and use a loose weave until I've got pretty much full plant cover.

That small netting is not good for the frogs, birds, garter snakes or any living creature here. Easy like @addy1 said for them to get caught in it. I had the bird netting over some strawberry patch one year and a poor little bird was stuck and I had to cut the net to release it. No more of that stuff for me!

We used the 4 inch wide weave over a diy " hoop house" during season, a small net to catch leaves in Fall and covered completely with a pool solar cover on a simple lean to in the winter.
