Love the phlox as well! I have both mounding and tall so I get the nice purple twice a year. Mine hasn't started yet but spring is early and it'll be any day now. My star magnolia is nearing peak, so I have something to see blooming around the pond. You did well with your phlox placement!

I had creeping jenny and made the mistake of tossing some trimmings on the lawn ,not good .It grows like a weed

Super cool! I took a picture of phlox at the store last weekend and texted my wife, was waiting for the "yes get them" but sadly no response. I'll show her your artwork and try again.
Creeping phlox are great around a pond, they're very comfortable growing in cramped space around and between rocks, they seem to like being abused a little bit so an occasional step on isn't going to hurt them, and it's trivial to divide and propagate them. They are one of the first green plants in the spring.
