I would like to start an ongoing thread revolving around exceptional and innovative DIY ideas for garden, fish, turtle [and other aquatic life] ponds and aquariums (and for me personally, bait tanks)

Everything from water pumps, aerators, filter media, plumbing systems, electrical systems, pond liners, hard walled tanks, UV treatment, filtration systems and styles, water chemistry analysis, solar powered systems and whatever you can "ponder" that could be applied to our hobbies and interests.

If you are interested in this thread, simply add your own pictures, videos or links to superb items that you have found in your own research.

Using videos and photos with a limited written (typed) discussion of what you bring forward here, I think this could be a showcase for all sorts of DIY ideas and notions.

In this thread, please do not discuss individual needs, requirements or questions. Simply post your pics or videos or links to resources and add a brief comment to explain what we will all be looking at or reading.

Basically, if you find a jewel of information, let's share it here amongst ourselves and for the benefit of everyone on the GPF forum. Please try to give it a title at the beginning so that we know what we are looking at before we open it.

Ok, I have no clue how we could use this "thingy-a-ma-jig" for our pond enterprises, but it seems so ingenious that I must present it here. Someone is either going to figure out a way to incorporate such a spinning wheel design into a water filtration system or else they are going to start panning for gold in their ponds! LOL

Does anyone see any possible potential here??? There has got to be a way to use this notion to our advantage somehow.
I might even buy one just to see if I can pan some gold out of the river here. My brother did that back in the 60's for a scouting project and he DID manage to get a little gold. About a $1 for 48 hours labor (hard manual labor that is).
