To many Fry

I started with 5 Goldfish and now i have about 30 fry. My question is do goldfish mate with brothers and sisters?

Goldfish are not live bearers, but rather females spawn and males fertilize the eggs. Oh yes, 5 will become 30 and 30 will become 180 and so on...........

If you feed your fish, stop feeding them when you observe signs of spawning activity and they'll eat the majority of their eggs......population control.

They will mate w/any goldfish in their pond!
