Hopefully this is not too stupid of a question, but here goes.....I have a small pressure filter with UV light that my Dh got from Home Depot. It's pretty worthless as a mechanical filter so we built a Skippy, put pieces of irrigation tubing in the pressure filter and mostly keep it for the UV light. Problem is, I need to get a replacement bulb and can not find the ones that are for that brand. Was wondering if the bulbs are pretty much universal as long as you get the same watts? I saw some Tetra UV bulbs on Ebay and was wondering if I could use those with my clarifier?

Unfortunately there are many different lengths, diameters and connectors. Your bulb is no doubt "standard", the question is which one. Going by watts isn't enough. Normally there is marking on the bulb that can tell you exactly which "standard" you have.
