For those on the East coast, where the snow comes in thick over a foot, you are probably going to get a shelter in place alert. This will probably last a week of below freezing, black ice road conditions temps....

Hope you got lots of eggs, bread and milk in

Roofs are very very nice to have at such a time, if the snow goes over a foot thick its close to the limit of most roof specs, you may want something to sweep it off if it keeps piling up over a foot deep

Winter storm stella! Didn't now it had a name. We are at around 8 inches more less and snow most of today.

We are sitting here enjoying it.

We had a 4 foot snow fall when we were in AZ, our neighbor said the snow on the roof was over two feet, the roof did fine. We did have a avalanche off the shop roof, almost hit the bee hives.
you are probably going to get a shelter in place alert.
Here in MD we are just asked to not drive today, but we do not get it as bad as north of us.

A lot of folk got used to a nice warm start to March. Some may not be ready for a blizzard or a week of below freezing temps with no roof, no power, no roads, etc

Especially those picking up the pieces of 80mph winds last week

Anyhoo, this is where the storm will be 11pm tonight. Theres some 90 mph gusts going to be driving heavy, wet snow into drifts and a high tide...

for sure, feel for them.
We are in a good area, lost our power once in 9 years, a car accident.
The wind has never bother us, trees are far enough away our house is safe.

We are still getting snow. Calling for another 7 inches or so today, actually now saying snow until wednesday, but slowing down

The rain band is east of us

I need to suit up and clean off the bee hives entrances. They usually have a upper exit but we removed it to feed them, keep robbers out.

Just dug my way out to the chicken coop to change water and give them their early morning treats. Wind is blowing much more now, and snow is starting to drift, but I would say we have 10-12 inches so far. Looks like the worst is yet to come with snowfall rates at 2-4 inches an hour predicted for late morning/early afternoon. We're making a big pot of sauce (gravy for you Italians) with meatballs and sausages. House smells great!

I am going to lose our peaches and plums, the flowers had opened, they will be frozen just like last year.
My blueberries have not bloomed yet
