When to start pump & waterfall

I am in ct and pulled the trigger and fired the pond up fully this weekend. it was only a week ago i had a foot of ice on the pond . it did have some help melting faster with air bladders but none the less no below freezing the next 2 weeks so she is up and running now.
Hi! I’m in CT as well and we turned on the pump on Friday. What else did you do? Any bio balls or bacteria? Thanks!

I started mine up this past weekend. Cleaned the bio filter out. Did a water change. Turned the bog and water feature on. I like doing it early since the water is still cold, doing a water change won't change the water temp too much.

I started mine around the first of the month, the pond is now 55f and doing great, crystal clear water.
