im actually going in to prune, i cant see my fish unless they are in the outer 1 to 1&1/2foot of pond. but my pond has no alge to speak of (string or blanket weed) and crystal clear water.
Why wont my lilies GROW !

Koiguy, what depth are your lilies planted? I just put some in my pond and planted them in top soil followed by pea gravel. Thinking now that maybe I screwed up.
I have over 30 blooms on 18 different lilies in our pond right now
All of our lilies are planted in pots with composted cow manure and osmocote
there is a 2 inch layer of pea gravel on the top of each pot
If you want lots of flowers this is the only way to go
Also the bigger the pot the better when it comes to hardy waterlilies
